What's up with the micromedia flash player
For some reason, and on the Fodor's site only, I keep getting pop-up warnings that something called micromedia flash player is trying to do something dangerous. Does anybody know how I can stop this? It's very irritating, and I'm wondering if it has anything to do with those weird pop-up ads that spread over the screen when I inadvertently move my cursor over them (although the box comes up even when I haven't moved my mouse).

Hello likeswords, I have been having the same problem on and off for about ten days now. I hope someone can answer your question. I just close the box, is that what you have been doing?

Hi L,
Your antivirus software is protecting you from the popup ads. Yuo might want to install the google popup blocker. ((I)) |
Thank you Ira! I will have that done.
Hope the weather is as nice there in your beautiful town as we are having, it is a perfect spring this year. |
Thanks ira. I have both a Yahoo popup blocker and another one, and so it seems that instead of ads popping up, I get a popup that says I've been protected! Can't win for losing, I guess; I just close the box like you do, LoveItaly. Often, problems like this seem to just go away after a while, which is hardly a proactive stance, but it's one I think I'll adopt this time. The weather is beautiful where I am too, so I count my blessings!

Hi Love and like,
You don't have to have someone install the google popup blocker, just search for <google popup blocker> and download. You don't have to live with the dropdown that tells you that a popup has been blocked. You can turn it off. See "tools", "options". ((I)) |
