What is Morcilla?

Have seen this referred to in restaurant discussions. What is it? Like mortadella?

jody Mar 25th, 2004 05:15 PM

I think it's like a blood pudding..but I may be wrong!

Betsy Mar 25th, 2004 06:11 PM

I think it's what you ask for when you want more of the dish named cilla...:-d

cigalechanta Mar 25th, 2004 06:16 PM

It is also called black pudding and has pine nuts in some i have tasted. my grandfather was born in Italy and made his own. It's always black.

Kelabel Mar 25th, 2004 06:16 PM

"The term 'morcilla' is a food made from pigs intestines, stuffed with the same pork's blood and spanish spices."

Pigs are said to have the same inteligence levels as dolphins.

cigalechanta Mar 25th, 2004 06:22 PM

It's true on both counts, many pigs have saved lives.

Kelabel Mar 25th, 2004 06:28 PM

And many pigs have died a cruel death so we can eat them. I wonder if people saved by pigs enjoy bacon.
Off subject I know.

cigalechanta Mar 25th, 2004 07:09 PM

I doubt that people who have pet pigs or know how bright they are would eat them...hopefully.

This Forum has seen some odd responses to questions in the last 4 years, but this one takes the biscuit.

Kelabel Mar 25th, 2004 09:23 PM

lol.
next we will hear from an angry fodorite who thinks eating pigs is good and that thsi post is stupid.

ira Mar 26th, 2004 02:25 AM

I find it outrageous that anyone would eat another animal. You are as bad as wolves.

Babe

Kelabel:
Sure, a pig will tell you it's as intellegent as a dolphin, but I have never heard a dolphin agree with such
an assertion. Any dolphin (the mammalian kind, anyway) will tell you that pigs talk self-serving rubbish.

CFW Mar 26th, 2004 06:30 PM

Kelabel Mar 28th, 2004 07:04 PM

Nice to see someone who shares the same view.
