One meal is included. Probably dinner, although this varies.

Half board is actually 2 meals, either breakfast + dinner or breakfast + lunch. Full board is 3 meals a day.

It usually involves breakfast and dinner. Sometimes lunch can be substituted for dinner, depending upon the flexibility of the hotel owner.

I found half-board can be a good deal if you don't mind eating in the same place everyday--and they have great food. Suppose it depends on the place, but when I did it, I found that I saved considerably over the menu prices. It more than covered the overpriced breakfast and the dinner was less as well.
