Thanks for explaining the "no sunbathing" sign at the Belleville Park!

Looking at the picture - I was puzzled because at first I thought it meant "NO SITUPS" LOL

After reading about the various things not allowed in parks, and reading about how few people run etc. - it seemed possible - yet odd - that a "no situps /exercise" sign might be posted in the park.

Beautiful, thanks.

In my forty years in England, I have never seen leaves so brightly red and yellow as this year's; it looks as if Autumn in Paris is the same.

Very beautiful photos.

kerouac Nov 10th, 2010 06:32 AM

I'm glad you all liked it. I just use a little Panasonic Lumix with a 12x zoom, nothing special.

Byrd Nov 10th, 2010 08:36 AM

Beautiful! Thank you, Kerouac.

I hope the leaves last a little longer because in 10 days we will be there!

One sure sign that you've become a good photographer is when people start asking what camera you use.

kerouac Nov 10th, 2010 08:45 AM

Oh, you means it's not the camera that takes good pictures all by itself? :) Rats!

I don't know if I'm a good photographer, but I do think I have a pretty good eye for framing. Of course, now with all of the cropping tools on the photo sites, that is not as important anymore. I consider a picture good when I don't have to crop it!

TPAYT Nov 10th, 2010 08:49 AM

Merci! =D>

The city of Paris should have you on their tourist payroll. Your photos always make me want to be there.

Suspaul Nov 10th, 2010 08:53 AM

thanks for sharing the beautiful pictures, I live in Houston, TX and as we don't have much of a change in seasons the color change in Paris is gorgeous. In my more recent travels to Paris I too have taken to doing more walks and non-touristy things, will definitely put Parc Belleville on my wish-list.

Thanks once again for being you. Great pictures. We arrive on the 17th of December and we will visit the park at some point, Thanks for the info.

denisea Nov 10th, 2010 01:06 PM

Kerouac...you're awesome! I will be there in December and I would love it if it didn't rain, but will be prepared either way and I don't care. It's Paris for Christ's sake! I always enjoy an excuse to pop in a cafe for a chocolat (or vin chaud, or champagne, or any of a million treats). I will check out Parc Belleville now.

grandmere Nov 10th, 2010 07:26 PM

Beautiful pictures; as others have said, makes me wish I were there.

"I consider a picture good when I don't have to crop it!"

The sign of a purist. I used to have a prejudice against zoom lenses for an analogous reason. But I got over it.

Kerouac...

Thanks for the wonderful pix...reminded us ouf our visits to the Belleville Arts Open Doors that we visited in May of 2007 and 2009...but November looks great, too!

Kerouac - You take the most beautiful pictures!!! I'm always enjoying them. Thank you for taking close to Paris all the time!!!

Michel_Paris Nov 26th, 2010 10:30 AM

Another superb series. Thanks, I'm going to make one of them my desktop background.

kerouac Nov 26th, 2010 02:15 PM

Unfortunately, the next one might be called "walking in the Paris snow." The weather is atrocious at the moment. It practically never snows in November.

dlejhunt Nov 26th, 2010 04:23 PM

Lovely. Merci beaucoup.

pdx Nov 26th, 2010 04:24 PM

Nice little meander, kerouac. You're so great at seeing your own city through fresh eyes.

kkukura Nov 26th, 2010 04:41 PM

I thoroughly enjoy your pictures and stories about Paris! Thank you for sharing your city with us.
