In 2008 we stayed at the conveniently located Locando Orsoleo. Which is run by a wonderful and friendly family and serves delicious breakfasts. It's nice to know that it is the 1st recommendation on Bob the Navigator's list. I've been on this forum for 4 years and know that he is a trustworthy Fodorite.

For your last night, there used to be a Sofitel that is a 5-minute walk to and is on the same side as P. Roma. (Unless it became something else!) It has a bar and a restaurant. When we were there, it even had its own gondola.
