Hi Noel
I have a file on Venice; if you'd like to see it, email me.
I recommend that you buy a good guidebook which will of course also give you suggestions on things that will interest you.

Stacey Mar 28th, 2001 04:54 AM

Noel -

Take advantage of Elaine's offer. It's a great file. I'll be there next week and I'm taking most of it with me!

I'll be in Venice in October and I'd love a copy of that file also....

Paulo Mar 30th, 2001 06:25 AM

Noel, can you fill us in on:
a) which day of week and time will you be arriving?
b) at what time of are you planning to leave Venice?

I've given countless suggestions on how to spend 3 days in Venice in the past few years, but they all took into account the info I'm asking above.

Also, on a 3-day visit to Venice, I normally recommend a tour to the lagoon islands. Would you rather visit Murano or the Burano/Torcello combo?

Paulo

Oops, to know about time of year is also important (sunlight hours also may have an effect).
Paulo

Paulo,
I am not the original poster but I will be in Venice the last week of June.
Arriving on a Tuesday (3pm on a train) and leaving on Friday Morning.

Any suggestions?
Thanks
I would also recommend:
La Grande Scuola de San Rocco
Il Frari
Guggenheim Museum

Marge Mar 30th, 2001 06:41 AM

Paulo and Elaine:

I would also appreciate your suggestions since we will be arriving in Venice by train on Friday morning, April 20 and leaving on Monday evening.

It's a trip on short notice and aside from getting train and hotel resservations (a little difficult), I haven't had time to do anything else.

One of my best meals in Italy during the last trip was at Al Covo Ristorante. You'll need to get directions, but it's not very far from Piazza San Marco. Very expensive & worth every lire.

K Mar 30th, 2001 07:58 PM

Hi Elaine, We will be in Venice the 1st of May. I would really appreciate your e-mailing me your file also. Can anyone tell me if there is any phone # you can call in advance to make reservations to get into these places? Is it necessary to have reservations? Thank you.

Dana Mar 31st, 2001 05:06 AM
