US Citizens: VOTE TODAY!

US CITZENS: VOTE TODAY!

yessie Nov 7th, 2000 10:33 AM

Yes, get out and vote, and please vote for the best person, and that would be Al Gore.

USUScitizenworldcitizen Nov 7th, 2000 10:41 AM

I agree, and I did!

We don't want to bomb Canada because our pres. gets it confused with Cambodia, do we?

George W. Bush Nov 7th, 2000 10:43 AM

Cambodia? Canada? Aren't they both in Asia? Never did trust those Canadians after they tried to attack us while I was serving in the National Guard.

George Bush (Sr) Nov 7th, 2000 10:46 AM

You are all a bunch of limp wristed, pinko commie bed wetters. Quit treating my little boy bad.

heather Nov 7th, 2000 10:54 AM

This isn't a policitcal chat room. Kept your political preferences to yourselves.

Bnice2fellowtravelers Nov 7th, 2000 12:01 PM

Be happy that everyone stopped defaming fellow board posters. At least Papa Bush and Baby Bush are public figures.

Liberal Voter Nov 7th, 2000 12:30 PM

Gotta love Gore! He's my man! I live in Texas and we've had enough of GWB.

independent Nov 7th, 2000 01:29 PM

If you're really a liberal, Gore is NOT your man. He's barely a moderate. Look up the definition of a liberal politician.

Proud Nov 7th, 2000 01:39 PM

TO: Yessie! I was told if I voted for Goldwater, there would be WAR. I did, and there WAS WAR (remember LBJ!@@@) I was told if I voted for Goldwater there would be higher taxes! I did and LBJ saw to that, higher taxes!

May I remind you....this is a European Travel board -- but then, you voted for gore! Out the Door with gore!

RichKids R Us Nov 7th, 2000 01:42 PM

Well, Independent, see what happens when many of your rights are taken away, not to mention your income, to find out just much you wasted your vote.

Santa Chiara Nov 7th, 2000 01:45 PM

To RichKids R Us: And not nearly as much personality as a doorknob from Italy or France.

Carole Nov 7th, 2000 07:29 PM

I live in Texas and you do NOT want "DUBYA". He got where he was on his father's money and contacts AND taxpayers' money (Arlington paid for the Ballpark and Texas paid millions so he could throw out the environmental controls for vehicles).

European Nov 7th, 2000 09:42 PM

From a european perspective, the fact that George Bush may become one of the most powerful men in the world, is scary. His "elevator/lift doesn't go to the top floor" , he is a "sandwich short of a picnic" if you get what I mean.ie he is not the most inteligent man around is he? Theres only so far that foreign advisors can be relied upon. He may have the personality but he does not seem cool under pressure and he has no idea when it comes to policy.

Freedom Nov 7th, 2000 10:20 PM

The lesser of two evils again. Problem is I can't figure out which Gore would it be? I've seen so many of them in the last few years. Vote Libraterian for your freedoms.
Socialist Nov 8th, 2000 01:10 AM

Why are there no aurthoritarian parties. I am left-wing, but not liberal. There is no party for me, or others like me.

another Nov 8th, 2000 02:10 AM

What about Nader?

lard Nov 8th, 2000 02:15 AM

Only 40% of americans voted, the other 60% couldn't fit in the voting booths!

Al Nov 8th, 2000 04:19 AM

No aliases for this guy. Friends, aren't you just a little ticked off with both candidates because so little was discussed during their campaigns about American future foreign policy and the place of this country in world security? Where was the presss on this question? If you missed the remarks Tuesday evening by Marvin Kalb, you missed the workings of a first-rate mind and how he assesses the press and the candidates. 'Nuff said. Unlike politicians, I have to go to work.

IT IS A SHAME Nov 8th, 2000 04:21 AM

So now it looks like it is possible that Bush will win the electoral college and be the next president, but that Gore will win the nation wide popular vote by at least 200,000. So what is wrong with this picture. The man that the voting public clearly wanted in the office will not be there and we will be stuck with a spoiled rich brat that has never wanted for anything in his life and has no concept of what it is to work for a living. If this happens then we can all wave goodbye to many personal freedoms that we now have, and we can expect the radical bible thumpers to exert much power over this weak minded Bush.
