I thought that I would update on my neighbours battle with trying to get a refund. In December 2019 her and a friend booked a fully paid for a six week trip to France, Italy and a river cruise in May 2020. Total cost was Aussie $21.000.

After numerous emails,discussions and arguments last Friday she finally received a refund of $17.000 from Flight Centre. My neighbour who is mid 70’s kept up the fight and I’m really happy for her. There was $5.000 admin fees which would have really annoyed me, and it did annoy her, however she is just happy to have the majority of her money back. Moral of the story never give up.
