It depends of the season. Between May and August, it gets dark after 9pm. At this time, the train I suggested enter the Varzo tunnel, followed immediately by the 20 km long Simplon tunnel,the 30 km long Loetschberg tunnel and the Hondrich tunnel. BTW: no place in Switzerland, not even the remotest one, is 10 hrs by train from Venice. Some examples:
