Trip Report : Tuscany
 

Hi Everybody,
Here is a trip report from our recent holiday in Tuscany. We stayed at Lucca and travelled in and around that area, including Garfagnana region, Cinque terre, Chianti region, Siena and Florence. Have a read :

Suja, what a lovely trip report & the pics are fabulous. Makes me want to pack my bags and go there.

I'm reliving parts of my Chianti drive and Tuscany trip thanks to you...and it was only last week! Now I'm in Rome and it's a whole different feeling!

Thanks for bringing back fond memories of our trip to Tuscany in 2008. We also stayed in Lucca and loved it. Pictures are great!

@winnick : Lucca is indeed a great base for exploring the northern part of Tuscany. We stayed in the South last year and loved it too. Tuscany is very friendly to photographers :) Thank you :)

I loved Montefioralle! We found it by accident, coming off an unpaved road. Had a lovely lunch on a covered patio there--i think it ws the only restaurant right IN the village.

Wonderful report and photos. I love your picture of the Devil's bridge and the others from that day. The Garfagnana looks like a spectacular area to explore.

@CaliNurse : Thank you for your nice comments :) I am the same, even on the drive back I was mentally planning when to come back!! And oh, isn't Montefiorelle perfect? We've seen a number of small hamlets like these in both Italy and France and I always fall for their charms..
