Trenitalia website - reservation change problem

Hi,
I made a reservation for my boss on Trenitalia. Somehow, I managed to choose the wrong departure time AND location. I have my PNR code and my Reservation Change Code and when I try the Change Reservation link, after inputting those two pieces of info and hit "go" I receive an ERROR 404 File Not Found message. I'm in the USA and tried a couple of phone numbers that I found in some of the posts but the lines were not answered. Anyone got any ideas? I'm in hot water with the boss for making this mistake!
Thanks!
Angie

I found the phone number for the Trenitalia regional office in Rome on another travel board. Here it is as you would need to dial it from the US: 011-39-06-4730-6895.

My sympathy. I always handled travel for my bosses, and it's not an easy job.

Thanks to both of you! I will try that number! ;-)))

For most reservations in Europe the day is listed first, then the month and year.

Thanks - I got the date correct, just the wrong station and the wrong departure time. I called the Rome number and no answer. Will keep plugging away. If I don't resolve it today by 4:30 central time, well, the boss just will have to do it in person. ;-) sigh.....

Thanks all.

Hi A,

Trenitalia tickets are refundable.

Why not get the proper reservation now and work out the refund later?

Angie,

A smart, logical suggestion from Ira.

I'm with ira -- make a new reservation and tell the boss to get the refund.

Oh, and blame it all on the Website.

angiem, remember there is 7 or 8 hours time difference between your part of the US and Europe. The trenitalia phones may not be manned 24 hours a day.

All times are GMT -8. The time now is 06:47 AM.
