TRAVELOCITY SUCKS
I am traveling to Paris in May and Fed EX lost my tickets ... it took me a whole week and many phone calls to get travelocity and FEd ex to finally admit that the tickets were lost. Travelocity now wants me to make a trip to the airport and file a LTA form ... $50 a passenger and pay the fee. Travelocity claims they will reimburse me but I've had such a difficult time getting them to return my calls that I feel I will be kissing my $50 goodbye.

Travelocity SUCKS!
No, it's FedEx that sucks, since they're the ones who lost your ticket. Next time, just print out an e-ticket.
No, you suck for insisting on paper tickets. e-ticket is the way to go.
Sorry, Shannon, I agree with the others. I've used Travelocity for years and have never, once, had a problem.
No ... actually they both do because travelocity was acting like I was hiding the ticket and they haven't been at all helpful. I was arguing with one person that kept on saying "... well ...the computer screen says you've received the tickets .." I told them that I didn't have the tickets to which they responded ..." but the computer screen says you have received the tickets ..." This conversation went on for about 10 minutes. SO yes they DO SUCK!

The airlines did NOT offer an e-ticket .. I would have gotten one otherwise.
Shannon, here's a piece of advice for the next time you're on the phone with a service person, airline or otherwise, who is either acting like an idiot or treating you like one: Hang up and try again. A different rep might have a better strategy -- like finding out the FedEx tracking number and tracing that.
Thanks Ellen.

I eventually got them to do that. Apparently Fed Ex was not able to "retrieve the package" so they will have to reissue the tickets. My problem with travelocity was not that my tickets got lost ( that was Fed Ex fault) but the fact that it took me so long to get them to take me seriously and actually return my messages.
I am NOT looking forward to trying to get them to reimburse me : (

To those of you who replied about getting an e-ticket well, this is not always possible. If you book a flight which requires a leg with another airline (e.g. ORD to FCO on American returning from Palermo on Italia to FCO and FCO to ORD) American requires that a paper ticket be issued for the entire trip.
I heard that American is requiring paper tickets for int'l flights now...
Well said choad. now take your medication and get back in your padded cell. Doctor will be along soon...
Choad, remember that doctor particularly emphasized the importance of your daily post-lobotomy dose of lithium. Did you "forget" today?
No fruit cup for you today choad.
Sandi:

No, American does not have mandatory paper tickets for international travel. I'm still traveling internationally on American with e-tickets.

Just figured I'd let you know.
Choad, it seems that your profanity disorder has recurred. You'll need to resume your oral soap therapy.

Good night Choad.
Oftentimes, Choad, witless profanity is a key indicator that your inner 7th grader is acting out again. Time for your meds and another mandatory viewing of "The Waltons."
Don't listen to them Choad. I think you talk pretty and have a beautiful name.
