Well yes the reason so many overnight trains have been withdrawn - cheaper airfares and high-speed trains - whereas one you could take night train Paris-Amsterdamfor instance that was withdrawn years ago when the high-speed Thalys train make the journey in about 4 hours. |

Do you know when that train ran? Been taking trains to Paris from the 1980s, but for the life of me I can't remember there ever was a night train to Paris. |
