I went to Mexico and was so GLAD that I had peanut butter & crackers and my granola bars. I still went out and met the locals and I always had dinner at some fun place -- but the snacks saved me money and gave me more time to hang on the beach and see the sights!

Because I have to eat a balanced snack of protein and carbs every 3-4 hours due to diabetes, I take a small jar of peanut butter with me. Also, at breakfast I will take a piece of meat or cheese and a roll and put it in a baggie for later. I've found that it's not always easy to find protein when you need it but carbs are everywhere!
