Trastevere restaurants

Any recommendations for a charming cafe/ restaurant in Trastevere for a special dinner that won't break the bank (under $100.). Want a place that will be memorable!

We just returned from Rome. Though it is over your budget, I would highly recommend Glass Hostaria. We ordered ala carte --
2 pastas, 2 main courses and 2 desserts(we don't drink), and our bill was 134 euros. An amuse bouche at the beginning, and several little sweet treats at the end, rounded out our meal. Service was warm and attentive; food was terrific. I believe the restaurant has a Michelin star. It was a memorable meal for us.

Check out Dar Poeta for pizza - my hubby still raves that this is his favourite pizza in the world.

Agree with the recommendation for Dar Poeta!! Not a special dinner place - but don't miss it for a casual meal.

Love Glass and we also loved La Gensola.

We loved L'Osteria di Monteverde on our recent trip and it would fit your price range.

The dining room is pretty traditional, but the menu was more modern. We thought the food was wonderful and the service was great too. It is not high-end fine dining, but it fits your budget!

About 5 years ago we were trying to find someplace for lunch on Christmas day when we happened on Da Gildo, a tiny homey restaurant on a side street in Trastevere. We had such a great meal that we went back two more times. It's a very small, family run, place where they barely speak any English but you can communicate enough. The pasta is all fresh home-made and totally delicious. It’s on Via della Scala. Try the Pasta Cacio et Pepe, extraordinarily simple and simply delicious. It’s a pretty small place so reservations would help.
