Is there some bus or publication transporation that removes the need driving. Thanks.

Absolutely, the Tra-in buses are comfortable and economical, and have frequent service between Siena, Florence and San Gim.

I should add that the SITA bus company serves some of these routes too.

Good afternoon, Am Suggest looking
into www.fs-on-line.it/ or www.trenitalia.it. Take train from
Siena to Poggibonsi, and change to bus
to San G.... Richard of LaGrange Park,Il..

I took the bus from Siena to San Gimignano and had no problems. I'm not sure what time of year you are going. I went in October and took the first bus out in the morning. It was still dark out and watching the sun come up over the countryside during the busride was wonderful.

Thanks for the information. How long is the bus ride?

Steve James Jan 28th, 2002 01:07 AM

Hello Arn,

It takes about an hour. Some buses are direct, some require a change at Poggibonsi.

Steve
