I just assumed that Thin was using "gin" as a generic term, since that is the place it holds in his life.

horizon, I think very few posters here are in the travel biz. I think travel for both business and pleasure are well represented. We're an extremely diverse group of people, mostly but by no means all from the US.

There was a thread not too long after I first came on the board that asked something like "where were you born and where are you living now." It got hundreds of responses, and I was quite overwhelmed by the number of countries and nationalities represented. Wow, I thought, what an amazing community to have discovered!

Merci, Betsy. A few more lyrics... :)

Who's the leader of the club
That's made for you and me?
M-A-N-G-I-N D-A-N-N-Y

and...

Now it's time to say goodbye
To all our company

C-L-I...I like this place
Q-U-E...Eeekscept for some people
M-O-U-S-E

Grammar be damned, capo, or at least subservient to rhyme. Change the 2nd line so it reads:

Who's the leader of the club
That's made for you and I?
M-A-N-G-I-N D-A-N-N-Y

Sorry you feel that way, mkingdom. I had never frequented any other chat room or talk forum before, and the emotion was genuine. I'll have to be more careful in future to show only my cynical, sarcastic side. Hope it didn't make you lose your lunch, dear.

horizon, are you observing?

This can get to be too chummy, not that that is bad if everyone is welcome. I have been to two private forums and there were cliques there and they migrate. Just make yourself known, not intimidated and ask if you don't get an "in"joke. It's all harmless.
I, myself love new posters, am eager to share what little I know. But I also love jumping on the fun irrelevant posts, so hop on.
