We were in italy this winter and saw an american with hitched up khaki pants, a university of richmond sweatshirt and hat and two cameras around his neck. his wife had the requisite running suit on, although it didn't look like she could have run an inch. a friend says don't wear the shoes if you don't do the sport.

I found some of these replies to be depressingly superficial and snobby. Sometimes reading these fodors posts it's hard for me to believe traveling does expand the mind. Why do you travel anyway? so that you can *tell* people you travel?
