Trains are always more comfy and for Oslo-Goteborg you have lots of time for train to be a bit late - but if you can save a lot of money then bus it.

Alright. I think the train would be more fun for us. It's certainly a little more novel for us as we don't take the train in Canada. I'm having trouble finding competing "Norway in a Nutshell" tours. I can only find the Fjord Tours one.

The bus suggestion wasn’t about money - it was about getting somewhere on time. The trains can be crowded and hard to find a seat even if you have a seat reservation, I find there is always someone sitting in my reserved seat. If you have luggage, hauling it up the stairs on the train to the seating area can be a pain. On one train that was supposed to be direct, they announced part way thru the journey that you now have to change trains but that announcement was only made in Swedish. But if it’s on time it will be faster than a bus. You can charge your phone and pay for WiFi if you want.
