Excuse me? I commented on the rolled-up pants hours ago. And I quoted TS Eliot. How many of you slobs could do that?
I am wasting my time here; I should be writing for Vanity Fair. |
sling backs (I think)
A lot of women in Paris wear flats in the summer ( something like Geox shoes)during the day. |
Forget Vanity Fair! You should be writing for The New York Observer!

I did buy some Arche sandals in Barcelona when I forgot to pack my walking sandals on a cruise to the Med. That was the first thing we did was find some sandals.

Ballet flats are very popular in Paris such as Repetto but for walking alot to see the sights I'd bring the most comfortable shoes for you and carry your dressier pair to change into. Buying sandals there will be a nice memory for you.

I would try some ballet flats or loafers - depending on your outfit - that have a hard rubber sole for cushioning. If you want stylish and comfortable, try Donald Pliner, the already mentioned Arche, some Stuart Weitzman styls, Taryn Rose, some Coach styles, the French brand Robert Clergie. Flats are a big look now so comfort and style don't have to be incompatible.

Plenty of Parisian women even wear flip flips during the summer. Some of them can be very expensive.
