spanish translation of simple phrase is needed

ok i know that "aparcamiento " means parking and i know that "cubierto" means covered but what does the sign/phrase "aparcamiento cubierto " signify? thanks in advance

Lesli Jul 17th, 2003 08:07 AM

I would thing it means "covered parking", as in a garage versus an open lot....

I'm a Spanish teacher and Lesli is completely correct.

Lesli Jul 17th, 2003 10:04 AM

Thanks Peggy! Though my typing is clearly not completely correct, since I'd intended "think" rather than "thing"!

thanks to all -Peggy ,I too am a spanish teacher but I was told that it means one fee for all day parking. And Iwas looking for verification for that -so I'll stick with what it appears to be -thanks again

I appreciate all the help you've been giving to EACH AND EVERY question about Spain, Jer..but please keep your commercial ventures, i.e., your cell phone rental ads, OFF this board.

Just part of the signature Intrepid.

Busy boy here in Madrid, try to find the time to help out the Fodors folks as well.

You will see on my board that I do not control member's sigs, more freedome that way, might wanna think about a change-o-policy :)

Saludos,
jer...
