Wow, JamilaZ, that was good; I was there in Nov. of 2000 and paid around $185; it was an "executive twin", so maybe that has something to do with it.

Grandmere - yes, your rate was higher because it was an Executive room. Mine was standard, but still very nice. I was traveling with my younger sisters (ages 20 and 15 at the time). I saw pictures of the Executive rooms and tried to talk the check-in clerk into an upgrade since we were staying for almost a week, but they were booked.

But since this 2 year old thread has been resurrected... I'm sorry to say that the Park International isn't the bargain it was back. Though I guess that is good for them.

Next visit to the area, I will be looking for a new bargain.
