shoe shopping in Paris

Can anyone recommend some great shoe stores in Paris? I am interested in the smaller, moderately priced stores, but not Le Galleries Lafayette.

Oh boy!shoes!! I would recommend rue Dragon on the Left Bank. One shoe store after another!
I don't know why you don't want GL,but they do have a huge selection of great shoes.
Have a great time, what could be better, shopping for shoes in Paris:)

Ellen, have a look at the small shops at Rue Saint-Placide, 6th, opposite Le Bon Marche dept. store.
I particularly like Rudy's (I think at Nr. 11).
The shoe department at LBM is not bad either.
Have fun! Will be in Paris myself as from next Thursday.

Rue de Dragon is great, but also continue to the end and cross the street (not sure the name) onto Rue du Cherche Midi. Great shopping street, and I'm pretty sure some more shoe stores.

A third vote for the rue Dragon; I bought a pair of comfy but stylish Arche shoes there last month, much less expensive than at my Nordstroms in the US.

Hi Ursula - I'm landing in Paris on Thurs as well. What kind of jacket are you taking? I'm wondering if my leather coat will be too much.
