Bob, I'm surprised no-one's replied to you yet. Unfortunately, I can't help, but have you looked at www.madridman.com ? Someone here put me on to this great site, so hopefully you'll find your answers there too.

Here you might have some accommodation: <BR>www.sol.com <BR> <BR>I understand hostels are basic, it depends but consider they are generally clean, old buildings, some of them with plenty of character and good situation, no breakfast, etc. <BR> <BR>Among the tight budget accommodation in Sevilla, it would probably be fine to check Hotel Simon, Hosteria del Laurel or Hotel La Rabida ( it may be closed for renovation ).

Bob, <BR>I have spent a lot of time in Sevilla and have stayed at some of the hostels. I would characterize them as small inns. In the Barrio de Santa Cruz, which is a neat area to be in, there are some good ones. Hostal Murillo is one I would recommend. I stayed at one called Hostal Monreal - it was beautiful and they had great food.
