Seeking Recommendations for visiting Ischia
 

Scooter would be fine if you are not scared to ride one. The bus service is good, I thought.
Can't you spend a night on the island???

When in the spring?

We have done a day trip to ischia and stayed a few nights. It’s very charming but not exactly user friendly if you don’t speak Italian. I recommend a few nights if you want to get a feel of the place.

I spent four nights there and enjoyed it. I agree with ekscrunchy, how comfortable are you riding a scooter? Bus routes circle the island. I only speak a little Italian (mostly regarding food) and don't remember having any trouble communicating.
