Season's Greeting from a Secret Admirer

Please accept with no obligation, explicit or implied, my best wishes for an environmentally conscious, socially responsible, low stress, non-addictive, non-judgmental, tolerance embracing, inclusivity enhancing, equality seeking, gender neutral celebration of the winter solstice holiday, practiced within the most enjoyable traditions of the religious/ secular persuasion of your choice.

Okay, enough with being PC. In other words: You all have a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.

Sincerely: Degas and his "little wife"

Here's to tolerance and laughs and health, peace, and prosperity in the new year! I like the part about enjoyable traditions.....may we all get to focus on fun and unwind.

It is refreshing to see the words
"Merry Christmas"
again, it has been so long.

For all of you who are celebrating another occasion, have a happy one.

Hi all,
Just taking this opportunity (between cooking and shopping) to send a greeting from Australia to all and especially sundry.
To those of you languishing in the deep midwinter, may the joys of the season (Solstice, Yule or Christmas) keep you warm and safe and to those of us glowing in the midsummer light may the season be merry (but not too merry, remember the double demerits the constabulary are imposing on speeders, drinkers and drivers!)
Have a good one everybody and pass the Bah Humbugs.

Degas, may your gator-filled swamp never drain, your hidden Still never run dry and your catfish farms expand as fast as your impressive waistline.

Happy travels in 2004.

jor Dec 23rd, 2003 05:29 PM

Degas, you are an absolute master of inserting your social and political agenda in most everything you post.

Merry Christmas to all, independant of your background and beliefs, weather or not you share my view of the world, or if you like or dislike me and my country for any reason.

Marilyn Dec 23rd, 2003 05:35 PM

And a Happy Chanukah, too.

Degas Dec 23rd, 2003 05:50 PM

jor, jor, jor. Please try to calm down and relax. This is supposed to be a time of peace, happiness and good will. No need to have a severe blood pressure spike over some harmless humor.

I assure you that my post was not part of some vast secret conspiracy to ...... .

Degas et al

I ask that this forthcoming holiday, whatever it may be, be granted or withheld, as the case may be, in such a manner as to insure your receiving said benefit. I ask this in my capacity as your non-elected intermediary between yourself and that which may not be yourself, but which may have an interest in the matter of your receiving as much as is possible for you to receive of this thing.

But failing that, enjoy the season and have a Happy New Year.

(With apologies to Roger Zelazny: Creatures of Light and Darkness)
