PRAGUE, Czech Republic -- Leading astronomers declared Thursday that Pluto is no longer a planet under historic new guidelines that downsize the solar system from nine planets to eight.

Good bye Pluto - we hardly knew you.

Not a planet. . . but a Pluton.

Now I wish our relationship was more than Plutonic!

If Mickey's a mouse,

And Pluto is not a planet,

then what's Goofy?

Makes my list of planets to travel to a little easier to finish. :-)

So I had to memorize the planets when in school..and now I find out that was a waste of time, lol. Bummer.

I guess this is what happens when you ignore global climatic change.

Will they be changing the astronomical clock in Prague?

Re: Loveitaly and school. My 8th grade science project would now be dubbed a failure.

The saddest part is that ABC reported the whole thing as "news from Prague, Czechoslovakia" !!! Guess the news editor is from Mars. O-)
