But my question is, does the rouge cow have mad cow disease, and will we all have to walk on those stupid disinfectant pads again, and, if so, will the rouge cow be really mad?

No bull will be cowed, until every rogue heifer is tamed and the Jersey milk runs free again... liberte, equalite, rouge.

"The Rouge Cow"
by I.M. Heifer
The true story of a young cow who was let astray by drinking too much red wine which led to a change of color
and became the victum of all the local bulls.

After reading all the responses I wonder how many people other than DB and cigalechanta know the difference between a cow and a bull. Rouge or not!

Are they testing cosmetics on cows now?

There really was rouge, or red, cow in Salzburg in September of 2000. The cows were of various types, like Rain Cow, Insurance Cow, and then there was a red cow. I forget which corporation sponsored Red Cow. The idea was that people would buy these full size models and the money went to charity.

I think in Louisiana there is a Baton Rouge Cow.
With that stick and her mootivations, she can be unruly.
The ones in Switzerland near Lac de Moiry that got my car used their bells as weapons. I never have figured out why several of them licked the paint.
Road salt? It was summer and the car had been washed but perhaps the taste lingered.

The old bossy that wanted to see my wife up close and personal was a docile creature. She just had big drippy nose.

jor,

Being from the midwest, I can tell you that we can tell the difference, rouge bull from rouge cow. Shoot, we're the home of Cow Tipping as a pastime. Once a cow's been tipped you can tell the difference. Ok, for the animal folks out there, this is all conjecture.

By the way -

how much does one tip a cow when in Europe?

FainaAgain May 20th, 2003 03:39 PM

Here is a thought - let the cow bite that day-old baguette, all her teeth will be left in the baguette. Then you come home, pull the teeth, put each one on a separate string - you got souveniers to give to your relatives and co-workers. No more questions: what should I bring from _______ (any country!)

Ok, I shouldn't admit how much I really know about cows, but they don't have upper teeth just lowers. They grind the grass against their hard palate on the upper side. Also, as I recall:

Bull - sexually intact male.
Cow - sexually intact female that has had a calf.
Steer - castrated male.
Heifer - sexually mature female that has not had a calf.

Probably too much information. :-)

No, a heifer is my father's new wife.
