There really was rouge, or red, cow in Salzburg in September of 2000. The cows were of various types, like Rain Cow, Insurance Cow, and then there was a red cow. I forget which corporation sponsored Red Cow. The idea was that people would buy these full size models and the money went to charity.

I think in Louisiana there is a Baton Rouge Cow.
With that stick and her mootivations, she can be unruly.

Being from the midwest, I can tell you that we can tell the difference, rouge bull from rouge cow. Shoot, we're the home of Cow Tipping as a pastime. Once a cow's been tipped you can tell the difference. Ok, for the animal folks out there, this is all conjecture.

Here is a thought - let the cow bite that day-old baguette, all her teeth will be left in the baguette. Then you come home, pull the teeth, put each one on a separate string - you got souveniers to give to your relatives and co-workers. Ok, I shouldn't admit how much I really know about cows, but they don't have upper teeth just lowers. They grind the grass against their hard palate on the upper side. Also, as I recall:

Bull - sexually intact male.
Cow - sexually intact female that has had a calf.
Steer - castrated male.
Heifer - sexually mature female that has not had a calf.

Probably too much information. :-)
