Hi Barieb...I had to search through all my notes from this site for our upcoming trip to Rome and I found two recommendations :
Rome Shuttle Limousine and Rome Cabs.
I haven't used - or booked - either yet so I hope one may work for you.

I just booked one on limoservicesrome.com for 100 euros roundtrip transfer from FCO.

newesttraveler Feb 5th, 2007 12:39 PM

Try www.limoservicerome.com. I used them several years ago based on recommendations from others on this forum, and was very pleased.

Excellent I have used them several times as well as my friends. The 100 Euro round trip wasn't avalable last time we used them but it surely will be on our next trip to Rome!

Does anyone know of a similarly priced service from CDG? The 100 euros is cheap, cheap and I can't find anything close to it for a limo at CDG (I know about the train and shuttle but we prefer private service). The cheapest I've found is 120 euros for one way!

I used Rome Shuttle Limousine a few weeks ago; they charge 35 Euro for airport pickup and transfer to central Rome. The driver meets you inside the arrival hall. The return is also 35 Euro.

The website is posted above.

Overplanner, you could just take a taxi. That's what I did from CDG to Ecole Militaire in March of 2005. At that time the taxi cost me 50€ one way, and that was for a van that accommodated 4 of us and all our luggage. (The taxi attendant at the airport simply directed us to the appropriate sized vehicl for our family. There was no extra charge for the larger vehicle.)

I go to Ecole Militaire from CDG all the time, and the cost is almost always between 40 and 50€, depending on time of day and traffic conditions.

Hi We always use Benvenuto limos when in Italy. They can be reached at www.benvenutolimos.com
Enjoy as they were truly excellent.

When using these shuttle or limo services, do you tip in addition to the fare? If so, how much is customary? Thank you.

Just checked Rome Shuttle Limo and their website is quoting 50 Euros from FCO airport to Central Rome..... Anyone used them recently and what was the cost?

opaldog Apr 15th, 2007 07:46 AM

I also just checked their website as we are booked to use them in May and they still show 35 euros for 1-4 people. I did receive a confirmation from them for this price.

overplanner - There have been several complaints on this board about the company you are using. Do a search and you will find that they are often confused with a highly recommended company that they copied their name from - Limo Service Rome (note no S at the end of service). www.limoservicerome.com

Rome Shuttle Limousine gets good reviews and is currently the cheapest at 35E each way for up to 4 people and 50E for 6.

ssbnorman Apr 15th, 2007 08:41 AM

I just booked the Rome Shuttle for 35 euro from the website listed on a message above.

cupid1 Apr 15th, 2007 10:49 PM

KyBourbon is correct: RomeShuttleLimousine is excellent and a great price. No hesitation to use them again and again.

And yes, I tip. If regular hours about 5 euro and if early morning or later at night I tip 10.

MyriamC Apr 16th, 2007 05:54 AM

Rome Shuttle Limousine ( www.romeshuttlelimousine.com ) charged us 35 euro one-way a month ago. They still advertise at 35 euro for a car for max. 4 people ; 50 euro for a van for 6 people. You will have a private car.
We found them to be very reliable and on time.
On our way to the hotel our driver even gave us a bit of sightseeing info, although his English was very basic.

queener Apr 16th, 2007 06:21 AM

Thanks guys - I found the correct website and booked with them for 35 Euros too..... I agree with the other poster -- there is another company trying to make themselves (and their website!) look exactly like the Rome Shuttle Limo!

davidcharles_69 Apr 16th, 2007 03:08 PM

Hi, I used Benvenuto limos and they were excellent. You can email them direct at [email protected] or wbsite www.benvenutolimos.com
Good luck
