Alexandria...anytime I fail to get quick results on lodging requests, I just telephome direct. The staff at Modigliani all speak English...you can get your questions answered, your pick of available rooms and don't hesitate to ask for discounts. They will email you and you can get confirmation. Good luck, and enjoy Roma...

Hey, Surfer Girl, I get commission on this one. You've gotten the last six. What kind of a Modigliani hack are you!!

Hi Alexandria

Try emailling the hotel direct - [email protected] - rather than using their booking form. Good luck.

First request sent on the 26th, I sent the fourth one yesterday. They're going to hate me now and not rent to me at all. LOL. I'll keep trying and might call. Thanks you guys. You're awesome.

P.S. Their website actually boasts about a quick response time.

Just call them. You might even get a better price for doing so - it's happened to me many times. Europeans are far less disposed to using emails and faxes than Americans.

StC..precisely, as I also suggested above. It's beyond me why people are reluctant to call direct. It's always worked well for me. I do believe one can get a better rate that way, too.

We booked directly with Modigliani, by email. They give 10% off for Rick Steves. The superior rooms are actually superior. Ask for one at the back, overlooking the garden. Some have balconies.

Also, their included breakfast is a feast. And, even if you don't stay there, eat at the Osteria Barbarini down the block.
