Island45,

I would also recommend the Hotel Giardino Rome **. Between the Quirinale and Trajan's Market. Walk to Fontana Trevi in 5 min, Colliseum in 10. Wonderful, welcoming owner Katy, quiet with double paned windows on street side rooms, cozy & comfy, typical breakfast.

Buon viaggio!

Island45:
My email system has apparently been systematically "cleaned out" by my server, so I can't find the number. However, I do remember it was Apartment Ballestrari, on Via Ballestrari. The apartment manager's name was a British lady named Nicola Whistler. Very nice and helpful.

I also recommend the Domus Julia/Hotel Julia. It is a good value, good location, includes breakfast.

Thanks to all you dear people,I have finally reserved a place.
Navana Gallery Suites. Price seems okay and was recommended on here so Yahoo!!! Now I have 26 more days to book in Italy...hopefully the rest won't take me as long. Next stop is Pompeii, Naples and Capri..
What are the chances of seeing blue Grotto in early April...probably slim to none. Thanks again so much
