Naked Women are cool.

rapunzll Feb 18th, 2005 10:55 AM

LMAO! Thanks for the laugh Jeff!

Some of these replies are putting pictures in my head that I really do not want!

NYC, if you don't want to be looked down on for your opinions, then don't look down on others for theirs. Islandmom asked a simple question based on cultural differences, and was not attacking nudity in any way. So ease up!

NYCFoodSnob,

This should be right up your alley?

Nudists dine in New York style:

BTW, are you coming to the GTG on 21 May? Hula skirts optional. ((a))((b))

Topless, bottlomless, what's the issue? Wasting time debating a non-issue is brainless. Sounds like we have more than a few puritans here. Another sign of what registration acheived.

TravelFirst Feb 18th, 2005 11:21 AM

... and foodsnob, give up that feigned famous image, will you. How many coffee table authors do we recognize in the US? It's not the path to notoriety. Enjoy NYC and let it go at that.

Tolerance has to start somewhere, how about here on Travel Talk?

zbjoon Feb 18th, 2005 11:33 AM

islandmom - I saw your post when it came up first. Did not reply since I thought my information is old but hopefully this will help.

Anyway, I have not been back for 15 years but I had been to Rivera several times and sunbathed there extensively.

Those days, there were many topless women around on the beach; sunbathing, swimming, and walking on the beach. I have noticed in general no matter which country the beach is in, most women topless or not when they leave the beach area they wrap themselves in a sarong or put the beach clothes on. Some follow that even in a beach restaurant.

As you know there are a lot of places to see in Rivera, so you might not spend that much time first time around on the beach anyway. Just a thought.

I think the only preparation you need to do with your husband is to make sure he has a towel to wrap around him covering his speedo in case he enjoys the scene.

Budman Feb 18th, 2005 11:50 AM

Yes, and tell your husband that if he does wear his speedo, the potato goes in the front, not the back. ((a)) ((b))

TravelFirst Feb 18th, 2005 11:51 AM

I'm amazed anyone believes it matters if someone takes it off or leaves it on. Straight or gay, it's a non-issue. Perhaps this need to "talk" is simply a reflection of inexperience and unworldliness, and apparently travel doesn't always enlighten some.

The funniest thing I've read here today. I think this comment was supposed to have something to do with how humans should behave.

"Do other primates get dressed for a swim?"

And that would relate to the topic of people being nude, how?
Do other primates use silverware when they eat?
Do other primates go behind closed doors to have sex?
Do other primates stay out in the middle of everything and complete their bowel movements for all to watch?

Could somebody explain what "other primates" have to do with describing logical human behavior?
