*LOL*!! The nice thing about burlap sacks, besides being simple & inexpensive, is that one can remove them very quickly. :~)

Sherry Jul 13th, 2001 12:48 PM

I will have to remember that. Do you think anyone will know where I am from if I wear one on my next trip abroad?

anon Jul 13th, 2001 01:02 PM

Do you think burlap goes better with those new stylish bowling shoes or with white sneakers?

Book Chick Jul 13th, 2001 01:12 PM

Okay, how did a thread entitled "Rex or clothes" digress into getting Capo OUT of his clothes & INTO trouble?

Capo, for cryin' out loud, your girlfriend's a doctor now, I would think you'd be spending enough time out of your clothes.....
BC

Why Jul 13th, 2001 01:13 PM

So what does Rex wear when he goes to Europe? Inquiring minds want to know!

s.fowler Jul 13th, 2001 01:14 PM

Nice contribution BC:)
Lookie Jul 13th, 2001 01:43 PM

Now this is what one poster calls an incestuous thread.

Newsreader Jul 13th, 2001 02:20 PM

This newsflash just in: Girls, sorry, you've made a terrible internet mistake!!

Just discovered: Rex has been separated from birth with twin George Clooney and "Capo" discovered to be Truman Capote's ugly nephew from Seattle. No! Don't take that shirt off, Capo!

Gerry Jul 13th, 2001 02:22 PM

I was in Rome the same time as Capo. I can tell you that Capo definately didn't stand out.

Book Chick Jul 13th, 2001 02:25 PM

Nice try, newsreader, but as a bookchick, I am aware of the fact that Truman Capote was an only child.
BC

Capo Jul 13th, 2001 02:29 PM

*LOL* Newsreader! Careful though, I just might sic the ghost of Al Capone on you!

BC, not completely out of my clothes. She makes me wear hospital gowns even around the house. Hey, come to think of it, why not wear hospital gowns in Europe? I mean, the way they open in back they'd be quite cool & comfortable during a hot Roman summer.

Gerry, were we actually in Rome during the same time? We were there March 29th through April 9th...how about you?

Gerry Jul 13th, 2001 02:40 PM

Capo:
Actually I was there March 20-29. Did you see me as I was leaving? I was dressed to look like just your regular Italian local guy. Did they tell you about me when you got there?

Capo Jul 13th, 2001 02:48 PM

Ah, interesting that we passed each other on the 29th.

Yes, as a matter of fact, they did tell us about you when we got there...everyone in Rome was talking about the American guy from San Francisco who thought he was dressed to look like just a regular Italian guy. :~)

ssssss Jul 13th, 2001 03:00 PM

Bookchick, or Bookhen, you must be so insecure, we all know by now how very intelligent you are. Enough already!
Gag.

Gerry Jul 13th, 2001 03:12 PM

Capo:
I said Buon Giorno to a 93 year old man on the street near St. John Lateran. He said "you are an American" (From San Francisco?) "But, you speak Italian?"
How did he know? Could it have been my accent?
I just hope they weren't rude to you because of me:~)
Maybe I'll see you there next time.

Gerry

Fritz Jul 13th, 2001 03:43 PM

Hey, I was there too! Didya see me? I was wearing lederhosen, white running shoes, black socks, a "Metallica" t-shirt and a Fez!

pepe lapue Jul 13th, 2001 04:10 PM

There right, incestuous, incestuous group. Gee, we thought it was Fodors.

Ishoo Jul 13th, 2001 04:35 PM

What NONSENSE!!!

Me2 Jul 13th, 2001 04:48 PM

Me too! I'm one of those people who must read every thread on this board so I become very irritated when I have to read a thread like this with so many nonsenical posts. Can't you guys do us compulsive thread readers a favor and KNOCK IT OFF?

Confused Jul 13th, 2001 05:35 PM
