Recommendation for day-trip excursion around Barcelona
I'm interested in hearing from anyone who has gone on any of the many day-trip excursion tours around Barcelona and could recommend a good one.
Thanks in advance! |
Depending (big "depending") on your interests you might like a trip to Montserrat which can be done by public transport.

I went to Montserrat from Barcalona. It was really interesting as you take a funicular up a steep mountain and can go on several different interesting walks that may take from 1 to 3 hours. You see some amazing countryside as views stretch from the mountain top across a valley.

Girona and the Dali museum.

If you like to get away from the city and get fresh air and see incredibly beautiful mountains, then I'd also suggest Mont Serrat.
The Tourist Office at Plaza Catalunya sells a combo-ticket for train, funicular from train station to the Church, lunch, and cable-cars that you take once you're there. It's very easy to do. Go to the full-service underground Tourist Info, not the small stall on Ramblas. I suggest checking the weather before going since I heard that it's often foggy at Mont Serrat. If you do go, start early because there's so much to do for just a day. I didn't have time to do all the hikes but would've loved to. |
