My wife and I have stayed at the Hotel de Suez three times in the past and will stay there again in November. We have enjoyed the managers of the Hotel, the location (close to several metro stations) and the amount of street activity due to the student population of the area. There are a variety of excellent, in-expensive restaurants in the area.

I forgot to mention that one of the owner/managers is a lady named Martine. You will make many points with Martine if you take her a jar of American smooth peanut butter. Have fun in Paris.

Frankly, I am not a Latin quarter fan. I like either the 4th (Marais), 1st (Louvre/Chatelet) or 6th (St Germain). I just returned and I stayed in the 1st near the Chatelet Metro station and loved it. I have also stayed in the 8th near the Opera, its also OK, but not as good as the others.

:)

http://home.earthlink.net/~richardab
