Private guide in Vienna

Can anyone suggest a private guide in Vienna? I've searched the forums with no luck. We'll be spending a few days there in October. Any suggestions would be helpful! Thanks.

Have you visited the Vienna tourist office website-

It has a list of guides their expertise , languades, tours etc.

Vienna tour guides to receive certification and receive their red/ white badge - receive much training , takes tests to confirm knowledge and ability - so you do not have those deciding one day to become a guide and obtain this certification.

The Timmerman family is a recognized name with several family members with knowledge.

Tripadvisor.com has a great selection of private tour guides. It's also nice to read all the reviews.
I'll be in Vienna in October too!
Enjoy your trip!

A former student of mine (I taught him English in his company for many years - really lovely guy with excellent English) totally changed his career path a couple of years ago and decided to train to become a tour/tourist guide, which was his always his dream job. He started guiding earlier this year.
If you send me your email address, I can forward it to him.
