Hi Matt,
I have to go to Ireland in fébruar and I will try to send you a card. I hope you will manage your project.

HI Mr. K,

Just wanted to let you know - expect a postcard to arrive from Italy any day now. I sent them from Florence...

Beth

tell us about your experience with the postcards, so far!

Judy Jan 12th, 2001 02:39 PM

Beth: You get an A++++++ as Ralphie would say! I just checked to make sure I have Mr. K's address when we go to London. Thanks for reminding me again!
Judy :-)

I don't know if it legit but the address is so I'll send it to the top--2 months later but they take it the whole year &, if it is true, what a fun idea.

I have been wondering about this postcard project, too. I thought it was a really nice idea when Mr. K. first posted his request. I sent a couple postcards to them in early December but haven't heard back from any of the class members yet. I thought they were going to e-mail people who sent them cards and who gave their e-mail addresses.

I am still hoping to hear back from the class. Mr. K., if you see this, let us know how your project has progressed. Fodorite junkies need to know these kinds of things.

Sandi

Hi Sandi, I did get an e-mail from one of Mr. K's students, and it was very nice! I even posted here as a "Postcard Challenge Update" FYI. I am not sure of the numbers now, but they had quite a way to go. I do hope they make their goal. :-) Judy

Mr. Keillor:

Are you out there? How are things going with the project?

Michelle Feb 2nd, 2001 10:18 PM

As this is in danger of getting buried.........

I heard from Mr. K on Jan 24 (semester was about to end Jan 26). At that point they had received just over 500 postcards and goal is 1,000. They have until June 15 to reach goal. In other words - they need a few more.

Thanks for the update! Judy :-)

Mr K and kids,
I am taking my 11 year old daughter out of school for 2 weeks the end of March to go to France and the UK. Instead of doing homework she will be sending postcards to her class at home telling them about her travels. It would be fun for her to send them to you as well.

Folks, this is a classic net-hoax. Versions of this particular chain letter have been floating around the net for years. It's highly likely that this one is a spammer, since it requests an e-mail address.

For more info about urban legends, net hoaxes, viruses and chain letters check out:
http://urbanlegends.about.com/scienc...ends/mbody.htm
