Please allow me to introduce myself....

Hi, I have been a member of other web sites and we always introduce ourselves as a new member. I don't know if you do this here, but let's start something?!

I am a female from California, I was born and raised in So. Cal and have lived at the beach and for years I have lived in Pasadena and I love it here.

Right now I am single and happy about that and I am not a Spring Chicken, but not an Autumn Hen either. I am blonde streaked, medium height and build and I work out with weights.

I love to travel and would love to join your web site!

Tell us (or me) about yourselves, you sound like an interesting group!

mightyflighty Jan 5th, 2004 04:28 PM

By the way, I don't expect to be an Autumn or Fall Hen at all, I want to keep my Springiness all my life.

Budman Jan 5th, 2004 04:28 PM

Sounds like you are looking for a travel partner. Sorry, I'm taken. ((b))

icithecat Jan 5th, 2004 04:42 PM

What is your sign?

wren Jan 5th, 2004 04:45 PM

Is this serious or a troll?

angel_UK Jan 5th, 2004 04:46 PM

<I don't expect to be an autumn or fall Hen at all,I want to keep my springiness all my life>

mightyflighty, you can tell us your real identity (your secret is safe with us!)
So go on which one are you, Cher or Joan Rivers :D

I think mightyflighty has mistaken this board for letsmakeadate.com!!!!

ChatNoir Jan 5th, 2004 05:12 PM

A couple of important questions: have you met ARNOLD and are you a natural blonde? And you said you were no spring chicken, but exactly how many times have you been around the block?

MaryZ Jan 5th, 2004 05:13 PM

I'm feeling a bit shocked at being referred to as an Autumn Hen.

rialtogrl Jan 5th, 2004 05:24 PM

I thought it was going to be Mick Jagger.

ChatNoir Jan 5th, 2004 05:27 PM

I forgot to ask: Did you get a hefty divorce settlement and what is your favorite color?

Marilyn Jan 5th, 2004 05:32 PM

Oh dear, mightyflighty, I guess by now you have figured out that this website is not like many others. Just jump in to the fray, don't be too thin-skinned, and if you want to know more about this group, there are several threads you can find. Or just hang around -- you'll learn plenty.

Marilyn Jan 5th, 2004 05:33 PM

PS Autumn Hen, indeed. Mad as a wet hen is more like it.

Judyrem Jan 5th, 2004 05:34 PM

Marilyn, very nicely said.

Judyrem Jan 5th, 2004 05:41 PM

Marilyn, I was agreeing with you first post BTW. Maybe she was just trying to be friendly. In this day and age, every little bit of civility helps IMO.

mightyflighty Jan 5th, 2004 05:46 PM

I guess you don't introduce yourselves here!
Oh well.
I am not looking for a Bud, man, I have a boyfriend, sorry.
I thought Autumn Hen was clever, but mad as a wet hen is even funnier!

A feisty lot, aren't you?

I'll be back to talk the travel talk, now that I have formally introduced myself.

rex Jan 5th, 2004 05:49 PM

I came in, a little bit too much like this... eager to let others know who I am, looking to make the acquaintance of others who might like to share travel plans.

I had to develop a thick skin, but 4+ years (and almost 7000 posts) later, I am still here.

And I am one of the few that put together a trip from this forum (as did Art Hussey). Hoping for another one in 2004 or 2005?

Best wishes,

Rex Bickers
Floyds Knobs, Indiana

Marilyn Jan 5th, 2004 05:56 PM

mightyflighty, "feisty" is as good a word as any to describe us, and it won't get the post deleted by the fodors police. :-D

Thanks, Judyrem. I love it when people agree with me!

Rex, you have outwitted, outplayed, and outlasted many others -- you deserve to be in the Survivor All-Stars.

Scarlett Jan 5th, 2004 05:58 PM

Rex, Floyds Knobs could go on the Faraway Places with STrange Sounding Names threads!

mightyflighty,
welcome to Fodors!
I think Scarlett will always be considered a chick. Forget the season!!
Grab a drink, pull up a chair and have a nice long read, you will get to know us better that way~

I feel a little better about being a Feisty Autumn Hen.
