<<I told my husband he HAD to talk with me about this for a while this weekend. He's very good at not spending any time in the planning, but then having all sorts of other ideas after it's too late!>>

hey, alice, that's MY husband - give him back.

My husband generally first opens a guide book on the plane over (drives me nuts). I do count on him to deal with logistics - how do we get from the airport to the hotel, where do we rent a car, what's the ferry schedule. He LIKES that kind of thing. I generally do the airfare because it drives him crazy (it drives me crazy too, but I also enjoy the thrill of the chase!).

And after many years of traveling together I know he has only so much tolerance for churches and museums, REALLY likes having a balcony or terrace, loves driving almost anywhere, wants to be able to do some hiking/walking in beautiful surroundings. And after all these years he knows better than to complain about ANYTHING if he's chosen not to participate in the planning!
