My apologies dovima. If I'm going to criticize the place I should at least spell it correctly. If only to warn other travelers away from this dust- ridden tourist trap with the worst torte I've ever had the misfortune to eat. I had been cautioned against going there but went anyway because a native of Vienna suggested going there and my group of friends agreed & I thought, "how bad can it really be?" The best thing about the Sacher Hotel was their ladies room.

travelermebe, yes, go to Vietnam - do it. Gracious people who (to me, incredibly) have put the war behind them, beautiful scenery, fascinating history, excellent food.
Australia (along with New Zealand) though, as another poster pointed out, is shamefully short of character. Both countries are noticeably short of drafty castles and other cultural attractions, touts, pickpockets, overcrowding and rudeness, so may not appeal to Europhiles. I have no idea why the trip reports on the Australia forum are so positive. In the spirit of the post, North Korea heads my list of do-withouts, but I suppose that's a no-brainer. |
Top of my list of places to NEVER visit: ISRAEL. (this is with Elvira in mind). Israel has got to be the most unholy of semitic cesspools on this earth. And to think that it is run by the Assassinator In Chief Sharon only adds to the gisgust.

I could definitely do without:
1) Any Middle Eastern countries -need to say more? 2) Las Vegas -it just does NOT appeal to me, although it seems to me that everyone that I know is heading that way this year. 2) Miami/Florida- (too much) sun, (too much) water, and what else? 3) Korea 4) Mexico 5) Russia - not sure about this one. I plan on visiting Vienna, Budapest, and Prague in July 2005. And hopefully in a couple of years, I'd finally have enough vac time to visit Egypt and Australia/New Zealand. |
O'Hare Airport in Chicago- a town I otherwise enjoy immensely.

h2babe~ You hate the entire country of Mexico? Or just a specific destination?
|
All this time I thought Egypt was a middle eastern country.
|
h2babe I dont think we are going to miss you.
Best regards Someone from Mexico |
