10 years old or not, some of the remarks were funny enough to make it worthwhile too open the thread.

pcinternational, they're not bashing, they're teasing, by way of reassuring the OP that things aren't THAT bad.

I don't get the reference to NYC. This is the safest large city in the country. And Mace, pepper spray et al - are ILLEGAL here.

As for being a cop - one of my uncles was - and he was against the average person carrying a weapon of any kind - since it's much more likely to be used against (or turned on a family member when in a rage or drunk) them than to help them defend themselves (if by some horrible mischance they fall in with a local band of criminals.)

Under the new TSA rules, in effect since 2002, your can of pepper spray can only be under 3 oz.

I have bear spray I could bring to Paris. That would be easier than bringing the three German Shepherds. I suppose I would have to convince the pilot there were bears on board.
