I'm traveling to Paris next week with a classmate, and we booked a shuttle from http://airport-connection.com for €39 one-way total, so that works out to about $25 for each of us. Not bad. Hopefully better than a taxi. They pick up at the terminal and drop off at any address you specify in Paris. I'll post a follow-up after the trip with my comments on the shuttle.

TO GUENMAI,
we are planning to do the same, take RER B to St. Germain. Then stroll to Citadine hotel on Augustin. My question: I use a wheelchair, how far is the stop to hotel, manageable ? What other options ?

Taxi charge for the fourth passenger is 2.60€, and .90€ for each piece of luggage.

Here are some resources for identifying wheelchair-accessible rail stops. A map (which you can get in full size at any RATP office):

http://www.ratp.info/orienter/accessibilite.php

Click on Télécharger and unzip the pdf file.

Here is a chart (in three parts) showing which rail stations have elevators or ramps:

It appears that the nearest RER B stop, St-Michel Notre-Dame, is under construction. Châtelet has a publicly-accessible elevator.

chinda,

The RER with a wheelchair could be tricky. Hopefully someone in the know here will respond to your query with specific information about whether your station is even wheelchair-friendly; which stop would you use? There are lots of stairs in every metro/RER station that I've seen, and although I have seen escalators in some, I don't know about elevators. If you don't get the answer you need on this thread, you may want to start a new post asking specifically about wheelchair accessibility at _______ RER stop from CDG. Good luck and have a good trip.

I'm really not that dense--Robespierre and I crossed posts. :) Thanks for providing the info, Robespierre.

You know all about the prices. What I'm surprised no one mentioned is if you take a taxi from CDG be sure you go to the designated taxi stand at the airport. There will be others standing around in groups (and near the designated stand)who will be more than happy to take you. They will look like taxis. They will take cash or visa and they will charge three times as much! two of us in February to the 7th at rush hour was 45 Euro.

Thank you all. With the Notre Dame stop under construction, we too decided on an taxi-van or station wagon. Van is preferable because of my wheelchair. To reserve (bluvan etc.) is way more expensive than $50 -$60. More like $125 . Why ? Even Ptitcar, a taxi service for the disabled is quoting me 116euro one way ???

If we "wing it", are we bound to get a cheaper fare. My husband can lift me into the van, so it doesn't have to be a specially designed vehicle. Thank you all for your advice...

Whenever we travel to Paris, it has always been with another couple. The biggest problem we have encountered, no taxis want to take 4 people. They have the front seat loaded with their personal stuff and don't want to move it. We have to stand out in the street and practically block them. It takes a long time to get a cab when they can see 4 people standing there. Interested to know others experiences on this subject.

Marking this for future reference.

We will have a group of 10 arriving at CDG in October.

we also had same problem for four people from airport once.

i will be there again in march and will take note of these transfer companies.
