Should correct myself; I just looked at the menu at Pasco and it's less seafood-y than I recalled. But still a nice if rather traditional menu.
FWIW, I also agree with Stu about La Fontaine de Mars--had a really disappointing dinner there a year or two ago. Service and food both very perfunctory. |

A friend who lives in Paris took us here Sept 2016 Wonderful! |
I love these restaurant recos, so helpful in a city that tripadvisor says has 14,000 restaurants. How to choose...?
|
I know things change, but we had a terrible cassoulet at Thomieux and a delicious one at Fontaine de Mars.
Yes, service "perfunctory" at Fontaine--but that's Paris? LOL Had a delicous foie gras dish there also. |
Truffes Folies, rue Malar. Book on thefork.com for a possible discount.
L'Ami Jean, my favorite Paris restaurant. Book ahead. |
<<Not a bistro but not a fancy-dress place either is the very good and for some reason never mentioned Pasco>>
Happy to read they're still in business. We had an excellent dinner there many years ago, right after 'les deux Pascal' had opened their restaurant. |
Pottoka is a gastronomic heaven in the 7th, great for special occasions!

We just had dinner at Le Grand Bistro.Breteuil , just five minutes from our apt.
It was the worst meal we had in the last ten days in Paris. The ambiance and the service were fine, but the food was truly terrible. |
