If you really want to see Monet's Waterlilies and the Orangerie is still closed, you can go to the Musee Marmottan in the 16th, which has quite a few Monets.

L'Orangerie is a member of the Réunion des Musées Nationaux, whose website lists a re-opening date of May 5.
http://www.rmn.fr/fr/02musees/01pres...orangerie.html The museum's own website is less specific and simply refers to spring 2006, and says that when it opens, mornings before 12:30 will be reserved for groups, while the rest of the day will be reserved for individual visitors. http://www.musee-orangerie.fr/ There is hope that it will really re-open this year however, as the first scheduled special exhibition begins November 21, 2006 and runs until March 5, 2007. It's called "Orangerie, 1934 : les Peintres de la réalité" |
Re: the museum pass, the Orangerie is listed as an included on the official Museum Pass website, but still under the "closed" category.

Sorry, that should read "listed as an included museum on the official site" but under the closed category.
