A very nice boutique hotel a few minutes from the place de Republique. The staff were very service minded and really took care of us. I really enjoyed my stay in this hotel.

Am looking for a triple for just one night until our apartment is ready. Preferably for under 150 Euros.

I have stayed at the Westin Paris on the Right Bank across from Jardin des Tuileries, we had a very nice room/suite, excellent service and convenient location.

I have also stayed at Le Meurice across the street on rue de Rivoli. It is really luxurious and I highly recommend it as well as the location.

I have stayed in those two so often in the past that I sort of think of that area as my comfort zone and know it better than most other areas.

On our last trip to Paris, we stayed at the Caron de Baeumarchais in the Marais. We loved it. We asked for a room in the back of the hotel which would allow me the quiet I needed to sleep off jet lag and my spouse to wander the streets of Paris at her desire. It is a small jewelbox of a hotel(19 rooms). There is a lift and breakfast was, at that time, 11 euros. It was decent as far as those things go. We were a block from the metro and walked almost everywhere from our hotel.

On our return to Paris from Provence that trip we stayed at the George lV in the 6th which we were really rather non-plus with. It seemed cold and remote compared with the Caron. I think we are also, quite frankly, not 6th folks.

I would advice (for a cheap hotel):

Cheap hotel, very clean and friendly. Stayed there once before and quite enjoyed it. Situated not far from the Gare du Nord in Paris.

I also enjoyed staying at Hotel Langlois in the 9th. I stayed there with three friends, and we split two rooms. Both rooms were large and comfortable, with nice bathrooms. In fact, one of the rooms (sorry, I forget the number), had an incredibly large, deluxe bathroom and a gorgeous antique wardrobe. Breakfast in the hotel's front room was delicious, with fruit, pastries, cereal, yogurt, coffee and juice, for an additional fee. I think each room was about $175 per night; that was four years ago, so you should check prices. Highly recommended!

We stayed at the Renaissance Paris Vendome in May of this year for one week on Marriott points. The location was within walking distance of many sites including the Louvre, and we didn't use the metro at all for the first several days. It was our fourth trip to Paris, and the first time staying on the Right Bank.

The hotel staff was very friendly. The room was the smallest we've had in Paris, but it was clean and up to date, and they made good use of the space. We booked before Marriott raised the category of many of their hotels, so for us, it was a tremendous value and the only way we could have made a trip this year. If you have points to burn, you really can't go wrong choosing this hotel.

We ended spending our last night in Paris at the Le Relais Montmatre in rue Constance in the 18th. It was a terrifc find, very friendly, cute, quaint, clean, nicely furnished (a bit like an English B and B)great staff, fabulous location, 5 mins walk from Blanche metro, good shops in rue Lepic (rue Constance is off rue Lepic of Amelie fame)and a good price to boot. We paid 159E (I think) for a superior room which is normally 190E.(they gave us the discount when booking without us even asking) Their normal doubles are about 150E I think.

I would highly recommend this hotel. We looked at the Langlois for the same price and there was NO comparison, the Langlois was really tired and dated.

I would have stayed up to three /four nights, any longer and I think the room would have been too small. But for me any hotel room would be too small after 3 nights. (unless it was the Grand Miremare SML) The bathroom was good, reasonable size and very clean. Good products etc.
