Was doing some hotel research and here's a new one in the 10th District:
Hotel Le Citizen www.lecitizenhotel.com It's a 12-room boutique hotel overlooking the Canal St.Martin, which is a lovely area. Happy Travels! |
16th District Hotel:
Here's a new luxury hotel that has recently opened. It's in the 16th. It was the home of Napoleon Bonaparte's grandnephew. The Shangri-la Hotel Paris www.shangri-la.com/en/property/paris/shangrila Happy Travels! |

Just to report back in we had a fantastic experience at the Hotel Britannique on Ave Victoria in the 1st. The street is amazingly quiet even though it is literally two blocks from the Rue Rivoli, and quite close to the Louvre, Seine, etc. Metro stop around the corner, room was lovely and sparkling clean, staff very helpful, breakfast good. enjoy

Back in March 2011 I stayed in the Bastille De Launay, rue Amelot (11e) - between Bastille and the Oberkampf area. Recently re-decorated, free wifi; my room on the courtyard side was quiet (apart from an opera-practising singer nearby) and clean, and the ensuite shower room was well-decorated. The locality is a bit workaday (the main business of the street appears to be motor scooter showrooms), but there are plenty of places to eat nearby (and cheaper breakfasts than in the hotel, by the look of things), and it's very well situated for public transport. It's one of the hotels available if you book a package from London through Eurostar.

Has anyone had any experience with Hotel L'Empire? http://en.lempire-paris.com/
I don't see it listed above and would like some feedback on location/other traveler's experiences. Thanks! |
