Joyeux, have a great time; it's a lovely little village, and the C de F people are very friendly and helpful.

I signed up for 4 optional activities and would only recommend the wine tasting and perhaps the goat farm. The "dinner with a French family" was a bit misleading: it consisted of 6 of us at C de F getting together in one of the student's apartments and cooking dinner ourselves, and having to pay something like 30 euro for that. It was "laughs" ( I remember making and rolling out pastry for the quiche on the wooden dining room table with many fewer kitchen tools than I have at home!) but a bit of a rip off, IMO. Two of us were in the advanced/intermediate class, and the others were in beginning, so it wasn't even a good chance to practice French. The visit to the chateau was ok but not worth it if you have seen other chateaux.
Just my thoughts; maybe fbc34 had other experiences.
