At the risk of drawing the wrath of the Calgirl, I found the Paris Shuttle to be a great alternative to taxi or train. Didn't have to wait - they were there waiting for me by the time I picked up my luggage, and there was only one other group of people to drop off before me. Hey, you get to see more of Paris! Much cheaper than a taxi, and frankly, after travelling 24+ hours, public transport just wasn't an option I would have considered.

It all depends on what you consider to be the "best" way to travel? Is it based on cost, speed, comfort, convenience? Are you coming off a long flight? How many people travelling? What are your main motivating factors?
