I have also used Shuttle Inter due to recommendations from this site and found them to be excellent. Will definitely use them again!

You should test this company www.parisanyway.com
Good prices, very organised. You can compare fastly all types of services.

I posted the same info as a reply to another similar post yesterday... but here is a site where you can compare airport transfer options : http://www.shuttle-paris.com

DO NOT USE PARIS SHUTTLE SERVICE!! WWW.PARISSHUTTLESERVICE.COM

I searched the internet before my trip, and this company showed a low fare and apparently good structure. Website seems nice and lots of services available.

On the day of my trip, at the schedulled time I waited in front of my hotel (heavy winter, cold). I waited and waited and waited. When the driver was over 30 min late I decided to ask the hotel clerk to call the company. A man answered and said he would call the driver to figure out what happened... and hung up on my face.

I called back 5 min later to find out what happened and no one answered.... I was super late and had no transportation.

I had to hurry to look for a cab and ended up having to pay 50euros for my commute.

After I got back home I sent them tenths of emails asking for a explanation, or even an apology but they never wrote me back.

BEYOND DISAPOINTING!

I had to hurry to look for a cab and ended up having to pay 50euros for my commute.

Good news as 50€ is much less than what most private shuttles charge for this same service.

Somehow during your internet searching you missed all of the many posts by those of us who warn about shuttle services and advise about using one of the many alternate transportation options (which can cost less and tend to be much more reliable).

There RER/métro would have cost you little more than 9€ for the same trip.

Sorry to add a question to an older thread.

Is it customary to tip the driver of these shuttle services, as a courtesy as we would in the US?

Sarastro Mar 12th, 2012 08:08 AM

Tipping is not strictly required but as most shuttle patrons are tourists, particularly American tourists, drivers might anticipate receiving tips commensurate with that which their patrons are accustomed to giving at home.

I am not an expert farnanddish but I live in Paris and travel often between CDG and the 7th arrondissement. For reasons of reliability, cost, and convenience, I use taxis (or sometimes the RER) rather than shuttles but I have never heard of a shuttle company asking for more money than was originally requested. If it happens, I don´t think it happens often.

If you are staying near Opéra, consider the Roissybus at only 10€. It´s non stop service from CDG and can be an excellent option for those staying near Opéra.

I see that this is an older thread where one poster had a very bad experience with PARIS SHUTTLE. Sorry to hear that. That would be especially infuriating when waiting for transport TO the airport on the way home.

However, I found the service to be reliable when I arrived at CDG going to a hotel in the 6th in the summer of 2012. I did not use Paris Shuttle returning to CDG because, after several days in Paris, I joined a tour which included a transfer at the end of the journey.

Old thread resurrected for advertising that was removed and then more and more added.

Sarastro Feb 9th, 2014 04:42 AM

This thread has become a shuttle spammer´s paradise.

Sarastro Mar 10th, 2014 10:32 AM

It looks like this shuttle company has signed up at Fodors to promote itself using a variety of logon IDs.

I have done some intensive search work on the internet regarding Paris airport shuttles, and in my opinion you should first check this offer: http://www.shuttle-paris-airports.com/
The website reveals a serious and reliable company. Also their prices seems OK to me. And, by the way, maybe you will be interested in their VIP tours.

I booked with www.parisairportransfer.com The driver that picked me up was excellent. Very friendly and informative about Paris. Such a gentleman.

I will definately recomend company to others.

I used http://www.parisairportshuttle.us and it worked fine for me.The price CDG airport to PARIS 50 € for 3 pax.

Gretchen Aug 3rd, 2014 02:40 AM

The 50E above for 3 is what a taxi would be also.

Christina Aug 3rd, 2014 03:39 AM

Not necessarily, I've paid more than that for a taxi, and others have also. It depends on day of week, time of day, and where you are going, and traffic. You cannot say that 50 euro would be what a taxi would cost as a blanket statement.

I had looked at several Paris airport transfer service providers, but www.transfer-private.com really had the most affordable quote and the easiest website purchase mechanism. It was quick and transparent. The helpdesk response was also very quick and efficient despite the differnt time zones involved.

Folks be CAREFUL when taking recommendations off this thread.

Some posters ,, appear out of nowhere.. and only post once.. say like "Zalmox" up above. He/she goes to the trouble to register on this website.. and then only makes one post .. and its to recommend a company.

Think about it.
