Melissa, our family of four stayed at a quad/family room at the Hotel la Bourdonnais last June. We were very happy with it. It's in a very nice location, if you like upscale and more quiet. Easy walk across the street to the Champs de Mars park, then to Eiffel Tower or Les Invalides.
I think I booked it through Expedia last spring, for about $225/night. Their quad room 503 has a nice view up the boulevard of the Eiffel Tower. Have fun! |
Maureen,
I booked a junior suite because I felt that the extra space wold be nice. Where you OK in a quad or did you want a bigger space? thanks melissa |
Melisa, if the price is right, I'd choose the bigger room you've booked, unless it doesn't have a view. (I assume the junior suite is bigger than the quad 503.) Our room had the great view over the rooftops of the Eiffel Tower, though, which was my top priority while there. I was really glad to be able to see it in all the different daylights, and all lit up at night, too. It was my idea for being in Paris for the first time.
So whichever is more important to you: space or view? Maybe both is available? Our quad was a nice medium-sized room, but we still could have used more space. And, with kids along, it's nice to have some breathing room, non? |
Plenty of other people advising you on accommodation!
Best thing you can do with kids is the evening bike tour, which starts from the Eiffel Tower most evenings. www.fattirebiketours.com Fantastic fun, includes a Seine cruise, and was the highlight of last year's trip to Paris, not just for me but for my 14yo daughter and 12yo sons. Good value too, much cheaper than the segway tours and you see more too. As for other stuff, remember kids like to climb... |
